Kristina is a southerner, permaculture practitioner, keywordsmith, writer, gluten-free cook and baker, fermenter, environmental toxin detector, native plant enthusiast, former ex-pat, yoga deep stretcher, serial blogger, and pet wrangler. Her spirit animal is the antelope. But no, she doesn’t run that fast, in fact she doesn’t run much at all. Walking is her preferred mode of transport.
Chad is a native Utahn, science teacher, wildman, outdoor expert, camping ace, crow-master, game collector, optimist, explorer, adventure-seeker, wilderness-protector, ball thrower and musical instrument afficianado. His spirit animal is the bear. He would be perfectly content wandering the mountainside on his own but he enjoys Kristina’s company when she comes along. Skis are his preferred mode of transport.
Together we work out solutions on the homestead, answer world problems, make some mean home grown meals, traverse the country, practice wild yoga, take a lot of photos and publish an occasional blog post.
The maintenance and writing of this blog is mostly Kristina’s endeavor, though Chad is the major contributor of photographic content. Chad will occasionally pipe up with a blog post of his own.
If you are confused about how you got to this blog, it is possible you arrived here from one of the two blogs that were melted down into a hopefully beautiful and tasty fondue. Those were loveforthewild.com and permaculture-diaries.com. Kristina is endeavoring towards simplicity, thus the fondue. In this case, the dish is sans calories so eat as much as you want! If you enjoy your time here, leave us a note. Peace out!
